At the FCA General Meeting on September 9, we are planning for discussion centred around the City’s Strategic Plan. You can find the plan at http://documents.ottawa.ca/sites/documents.ottawa.ca/files/documents/2015_2018_stratgic_plan_en.pdf .
The document lists 65 initiatives which the City is to undertake to implement the “Term of Council Priorities”. (These are listed on pages 19 to 22 of the plan.)
Community groups should review the list and identify initiatives of interest. Supposedly Councillors and city staff are committed to the initiatives and would welcome community involvement and support.
I hope that participants at the Sept. 9 meeting will provide a preliminary indication of which initiatives are of interest and that they will seek to have their association adopt one or two initiatives as project to follow over the next couple of years.
