Jan 122017

The next general meeting of FCA-FAC [Federation of Citizens’ Associations of Ottawa] will be held Wednesday January 18, 2017 at the Tanglewood Park Community Centre, 31 Woodfield Drive.
Continuing a tradition from last year, our kick-off meeting for 2017 (or New Years’ Levee) will feature rotational interviews (or ‘speed-dating’ if you prefer) with various Ottawa experts in the field of social services. Please ensure that members of your association with an interest in social service issues are informed of this event.
A draft agenda for the Jan. 18 meeting is found at http://fca-fac.ca/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/170118DA.pdf
To prepare participants in thinking about social service questions, you are invited at respond to a brief survey which you will find at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7B85C2T
Please note that the draft agenda document includes background information on the agenda items, a listing of the experts who will be available for interviews at the meeting plus a draft submission on R4 zoning for consideration by the general meeting.
Each member association is invited to send two delegates to general meetings. Observers are always welcome. Don’t hesitate to bring along members of your association with an interest in the topics appearing in the agenda. We hope to see you Wednesday in Tanglewood.
