Coach houses are secondary dwelling units in separate structures in the back yard or side yard of residential properties. This issue is scheduled to come before Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee on October 6 and before Planning Committee on October 11.

FCA has registered concerns about coach houses, indicating one size does not fit all – that coach houses may be inappropriate in some locations because of impact on neighbours, effect on the tree canopy and soil permeability, among other considerations.
