At the FCA-FAC General Meeting on December 13, there was a lively roundtable discussion about Priorities for 2024 for the federation. Beyond expected consultations on a new zoning by-law, there was discussion about building the FCA itself and how it could aid member associations in improving their effectiveness. Recent attempts to circumvent the legislated process for amendment of the Official Plan and ongoing requirements for discussion about insurance support were also discussed. A motion calling for enhancement of winter maintenance standards for transportation infrastructure was adopted.
